The hotel's location is superb, with easy access to multiple metro stations and numerous quaint cafés for a good breakfast experience.
The bathroom layout was less than ideal, as it lacked proper drainage and made showering quite inconvenient.

Staff were ok. There is Internet access but not so strong on the 6th floor. Its location is the best thing...though for the same price across the road there is better.
Really grimy. Carpets were dirty. Room was really cold. but wished I'd forked out the extra 20 euros for the last hotel I stayed at. Like so many hotels in central Paris for the same price, I knew that I might end up on the 6th floor with no lift, so that was expected.

Great location for exploring the Marais, Notre Dame and Ile-St- Louis, the Seine area with the booksellers, etc. Friendly, helpful 24-hour staff.
Other reviews mention it, but there is no elevator! We were on the 4th floor, and with the steep, spiral staircase, it was pretty exhausting to bring luggage up. Rooms looked very budget, but they were big enough.

Charming stay near Bastille
The hotel's location is prime. Just a half block from La Bastille. The charming staff were always ready to assist, and the cleanliness was perfect-our room was fresh each day. Being able to explore Paris on foot was a delight, as we found plenty of local shops and cafés nearby to indulge in.
Our room felt a bit cramped at times, and the bathroom was on the smaller side. Plus, noise levels from the adjacent rooms occasionally disrupted our peace. Ensure you have earplugs if you're sensitive to sound.

It's a good hotel in a convenient area. I recommend it for anyone intent on visiting the city without spending too much. By French standards the rate is very affordable. Also, you are close to many central subway stations, as well as the Seine river and numerous points of interest. As for the rooms, they are clean and comfortable and the maid comes every afternoon. The staff is also friendly and bilingual.
The hotel has only 2 disadvantages. 1- Like many European inns there is only one bathroom and one shower per floor. If you really need to use the bathroom and the one on your floor is occupied you can easily go one floor up or down, however nothing beats the convenience of having a personal bathroom. This is doubly true for couples. That being said, if you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel, a personal bathroom is less important than one would assume, and the money you save will allow you to do other things on your trip. 2- There is no elevator and the hotel has six floors. Again, it's easy to adapt to but if you've got knee problems or something of the sort you'll want to specify you want a room on a lower floor. If you do as I did and ask the clerk if he has an elevator, he may respond, "We'll have one installed in six months." I'm sure he's been saying that for years. Specify a lower floor.

great value for the money. not a huge, luxurious place, but it was a lovely trip. fantastic location, clean, safe, and close to the public transport. walking distance within so many great places. close to tons of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores...excellent. would definitely recommend.
if you are traveling with someone you don't know very well, having the shower right there in the room with you could be a bit awkward, but there are probably bigger rooms available with more privacy if that's what you're looking for.

The Location was perfect. 20 minute walk to Centre Pompidou and Notre Dame. 5 minute walk to the metro and 5 minutes to place de vosges. Located at a nice street with shops, supermarket, and a delicious bakery.
The room was nice, but the bed was very small and super hard. The Hotel is located at a very busy street, so its very noisy. The hotel staff was not so friendly. The shared shower was not clean.
